Nkulumane Constituency Governance Structure

The governance of Nkulumane Constituency is anchored on a community-driven approach led by Honourable MP Desire Moyo, who has established three key pillars of leadership to ensure inclusive and effective development. These structures were introduced and formalized with the adoption of the Nkulumane Constituency Development Plan on 25 May 2024, which represents the collective vision of the people.

At the heart of this structure is the Nkulumane Constituency Development Committee (NCDC), which oversees the Constituency Development Plan. This committee is responsible for coordinating and implementing community projects based on the priorities set by the residents, ensuring that every voice is heard in shaping Nkulumane’s future.

Supporting this is the Nkulumane Compassion and Comfort Team, which serves as the compassion arm, focusing on providing care and support to the bereaved, vulnerable and disadvantaged members of the community. Their work ensures that development goes beyond infrastructure, addressing the human and emotional needs of the constituency.

The Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Committee is tasked with managing funds sourced from the government for development projects. This committee ensures transparency and accountability in the use of resources to improve schools, clinics, infrastructure, and other community services.

E.E. Ngwenya serves as the Chief Administrator and Accounting Officer for the Nkulumane Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Committee. 

Community Leaders

Mmeli “Bruce” Moyo is the Ward 22 Councillor and Director of the Young Leaders Initiative Zimbabwe. Bruce holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Diplomacy, a Degree in Electrical Engineering, and several global professional certifications. His work focuses on youth empowerment and democracy advocacy. He is also a committed Christian.

Councillor Ntombizodwa Khumalo, representing Ward 23 which includes Nkulumane 10, 11, and part of Nkulumane 13, is a passionate and dedicated leader committed to making a positive impact in the community, with a special focus on empowering women and girls.

Sengeziwe R. Ndlovu serves as the Junior Member of Parliament for Nkulumane Constituency and the Junior Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, proudly representing the voices of young people in her role as a junior parliamentarian.
